Denisse is exploring how 500 Acres can deepen its impact by defining and visualizing the Social Repair Index — a framework to measure how design, housing, and community projects foster belonging and repair. She’s combining anthropology and critical theory to analyze how aesthetics and physical design influence social and environmental equity. Her work includes creating a case study prototype, overhauling parts of the website to include community-building resources, and contributing to the quantitative and qualitative structure of the Social Repair Index

Anita is leading the Narrative Design Fellowship, focused on how Gen Z in Boise define success, purpose, and belonging. She’s conducting qualitative interviews, community-based research, and narrative synthesis to inform 500 Acres’ storytelling and strategy. Her deliverables include:
Three narrative essays translating findings into public-facing stories.
An internal research brief for leadership.
A presentation on insights for programming and partnerships. Her project bridges research and communication — turning data about Gen Z experiences into emotional, relatable narratives for 500 Acres

Yuchun is designing a visual and conceptual story about belonging — reimagining how Gen Z can build together and form community through housing. Her project centers on the question: “How can housing shape belonging?” She’s developing visual storytelling assets, exploring how to represent Gen Z’s shared sense of future, and helping 500 Acres define its narrative identity around social repair and collaborative building

Isadora’s fellowship combines educational research and impact reporting. She’s investigating how 500 Acres can best teach young people through hands-on, outdoor, and community-based learning. Her dual goals:
Develop insights for curriculum design and delivery, especially for Gen Z learners.
Help design the system for 500 Acres’ Impact Report, aligning with measurable social outcomes. She’s collaborating with other fellows to connect research findings to real-world implementation in storytelling, education, and housing

Lauren is working within the Narrative & Website Design track, focusing on how 500 Acres’ mission and data are presented publicly. Her project includes redesigning the website structure, integrating Social Repair Index data, and making community outcomes transparent and accessible. She’s linking fellows’ project insights to online storytelling — turning the 500 Acres website into a living, evolving reflection of the movement

Jayanna’s project, “Building the Backbone,” strengthens the organizational foundation of 500 Acres. She’s developing internal systems for communication, HR, and operations that support the fellowship’s growth. Her deliverables include:
Mapping roles and responsibilities across fellows, mentors, and leadership.
Designing three tiers of support systems and feedback loops.
Establishing KPIs for Gen Z engagement and refining team workflows. Jayanna also manages social media operations, helping shape how 500 Acres’ internal culture and external voice align
